Introduction to Longsword

This course is designed to teach the fundamental principles and mechanics of fencing with a German Longsword. The primary source material we study comes from Pseudo-Peter von Danzig and Fiore de’i Liberi (as well as personal experience). The mechanics and concepts of this course lay a good foundation for all of the other weapon systems we teach.

Students are not expected to have gear for this course. While enrolled in the Intro course, students may attend any other classes for $5 each. However, until you complete this course you may not understand all of the concepts and terminology used. If you would like to dig deeper to learn faster feel free to see our other class lesson pages.
